Dan_Turism0
Hi guys, has anyone put springs on the stock Toyota REAS shocks before or know if there any problems in doing so? I know ideally going coilovers would be a better option but just wondering if anyone has tried this before Best Dan
Westy
Doubt it would be possible mate as to fit the springs you will need to remove the nipple and hose that connects the struts...and as far as I know no one knows how to fit these back and ensure the interior pressure is correct. Scooter
exactly what i was afraid of mate, looks like it's coilovers for me then aren't the fluid links right at the bottom of the shock? I'm sure you could remove everything as normal and swivel the lot out and using spring compressors remove the top mount and spring and go from there. It'll be more fiddly as you have to do everything in close proximity of the car as you'll be limited by the shocks fluid line but should be doable (this is just going from memory )
Scooter
http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?138490-REAS-suspension-removal&highlight=REAS looks like enough 'slack' to me???
