The Raven
Ok i went back to work on my car that has now been off road for nearly a year now. I changed the ECU to try and see if that would sort the massive overfuel issue. I now think they Injecs are stuck open, ALL of them!!!! So i guess that points to an earth? Question is where is the earth to the fuel system? If anyone wants to come and help me fix the car i will provide a full BBQ, Beer, dancing girls, and i may even sell you my soul (dancing girls may not happen, also i think i sold my soul for haribo a few years back but cant remember)

heckler
The injectors have a common positive feed, fed by the two EFI Relays, the earths all then down to the ECU http://www.internetwork.org.uk/manual/system/ecugte/ecugte3.htm (ignore the resistor pack)
bigbloodyturbo
Probably not your problem but my car was sat for over a year while I singled it and it had a massive over fuelling issue which came down to a dodgy FCD. But any problem with the map sensor causes huge swings in afr, sensors and the like only had small effects for trimming fuel and didn't really cause big issues. Kaan W
If I knew mate I would come and help you but all this injector stuff is new to me, im used to working on older cars with carburetters and stuff. Im no good at technical stuff like that but I would of guessed changing the ecu would sort it. Hope you get this fixed soon buddy.
David P
Check you have wired the MAP sensor correctly. Then check if Parcels-To-Go will deliver the girls? Edited September 23, 2012 by David P (see edit history)
The Raven
Hang on efi relays? Would those be the ones that you have to wire chop? on a N/A TT swap to the old n.a fuse box? I wonder if i did something wrong wiring that?

The Raven
What would happen if they had no feed? would they stay open?
David P
Two of the three wires wrong on the MAP sensor would hold the injectors wide open.
heckler
What would happen if they had no feed? would they stay open? er.. no feed, no power, no injectors! - - - Updated - - - like others have said - take a look at the map sensor
The Raven
Well they seem to be open, just tipping as much fuel into the engine as the fuel pump can send.
