Benjy
Well it will be, the Uk aero's were all N/A were they not? So Vosa should hold emissions related data for an NA?
David P
I didn't find that on the list? That could throw a Spaniard into the works and make Bambi your Dad. I'll go and sniff out the list. Edited September 23, 2012 by David P (see edit history)
David P
Looks like Bambi's not your Dad. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?270657-MOT-dickthippery&p=3414578&viewfull=1#post3414578
AndrewOW
The N/A 2JZA80-GE engine code is grey import only, consequently, is not on the list and pre 95 the full cat test is not required. The T.T. 2JZA80-GTE engine code is the same in a J spec as a U.K. spec, consequently, is on the list and whatever date of manufacture is subject to a full cat test. Yes, that was the same info I was told by the garage. NAs don't count, but the TTs do. No wonder Ben gets his through without a problem. His car officially doesn't exist! Benjy
Lets face it, NA's have never really been considered a Supra have they!? I shall dig into the "tuned for" a bit further. I'm sure that if the engine is tuned for the jap market emissions wise, there's a loophole.
David P
Neither does a Zedded GE.
Nic
Well it will be, the Uk aero's were all N/A were they not? So Vosa should hold emissions related data for an NA? All UK Spec Supras were TT's, there never was a UK Spec NA.
AndrewOW
After all this, I think I'll leave my cat in place, as it could pass, it could fail, and now it's on, I'm saving the environment. All by myself.
Benjy
So they didn't make a UK aerotop NA?
AndrewOW
Nope. Only lardy TT hardtops. Auto and manual, but manual was a factory option Edited September 23, 2012 by AndrewOW (see edit history)
David P
That explains why it's not on the list then. Go back to post 2, 8 & 48, do not pass Go and do not collect £200. Nic
So they didn't make a UK aerotop NA? No all UK Supras were TT's, all RHD NA's are Japanese imports.
Graham1984
No all UK Supras were TT's, all RHD NA's are Japanese imports. All aerotop's are NA as well as automatics too.
AndrewOW
All aerotop's are NA as well as automatics too. Eh? How do you explain my car then?
Nic
All aerotop's are NA as well as automatics too. Not correct, there were TT aerotops produced, all the RHD ones were autos.
