Chris Bailey
Does anyone have this same problem, when you driving or if someone is in the passenger seat of your supra do they notice the bonnet always bouncing around and looking like it could open any minute. I know ive seen a few people say there bonnet has flown open whilst driving. Whenever im sitting in the passenger seat it always worries me because it bounces like mad!!! Alex
Stock bonnet? If so have you wound the rubber bump stops up to put that corner under tension? Do you *have* the rubber bump stops?
mellonman
yes it happens alot the air flow hits the front mount intercooler/rad and some of the air is deflected up on the underside of the bonnet causing this, its happend a few times a bonnet flip up on a supra always make sure the bonnet realese (in car) has returned fully when bonnet is shut. safcdixon
I would fit bonnet pins to any fast car i own now after seeing some right messes after the bonnet has flew over the roof, my bonnet actually flattens at high speed but doesnt move up since i fitted the aerocatches
listy
Also, if you havent already (I suspect not) get a s/s or carbon slam panel. Mine used to do this, but once I installed the slam panel, it stopped, as the air hits it and deflects back onto the radiator
Westy
Never noticed anything like that...but the carbon slam panel was one of the first things I installed.
Jamesy
get aero catches, asap...as a precaution. my bonnet flew open on me in the supra and smahed everything in sight not to mention scaring the living s*** out of me
TubbyTwo
There is a half price set of aero's in the sale section. Not sure if they every sold. On the list to get for mine, it is a bit unnerving when you can see the bonnet flexing at speed. Remember seeing the pictures of Jamesy's car after it happened, what a mess!! Fitz
I've seen people driving stock bonnet Supra's around and some of them (on the drivers side) aren't shut properly...not saying that's the case here though but just what I've seen. Chris Bailey
It scares the shit out off me everytime it just seems to bounce around, Even though we have an intercooler plate attached from Jamesy's old supra. I dont think dad would be keen fitting Aerocatches as im sure he'll think they look chavy. Thanks for the advice and help guys
Rob_Mitchell
I think they look good, i have been thinking about another bonnet and i will have them on my next bonnet. Get labelled a chav if thats peoples mentality but at the end of the day they dont have to fork out for repaints and new bonnets

Josh
Is there any other way to solve the problem without cutting holes in the bonnet lol, Or is this the only option? A line of superglue around the edge of the bonnet before you close it. Just make sure you don't need to open it again any time soon
