Replacing old O2 sensor with Wide Band Bosch sensor using a PLX Devices gauge/module

Hi all,

I have read quite a few posts on the O2 to WB sensor conversions however i cant seem to find the info that i need?

My PLX Devices module can output a Narrow band signal, therefore as my current O2 sensor is knackered i thought it would be worth using the WB sensor in place of the old O2 sensor then use the NB output from the PLX module and connect this back to the original wiring loom in the engine bay. Basically cut the plug off the old O2 sensor and solder a wire to the Signal wire.

Now i have checked some wiring diagrams and i believe the O2 plug signal wire is the white wire. Can anyone confirm this? Also will the ECU have any problems with the heater wires for the O2 sensor not being connected? Is there any reason why my method of install wouldnt work, as i dont want to hack into my ECU wiring again as installing a RaceLogic system was difficult enough plus i am not keen on disturbing 17yr old wiring.

Many thanks,

Alex.
