Noz
It's really tricky to fit a new exhaust and get enough torque under my car with the current ramps, I was aiming on driving 2 miles up the road but I've only got my downpipe and mid pipe attached. Apart from clearly being illegal, is there any way the sudden drop pipe on the system will harm the engine? This may be a silly question but I wanted to check first. sideexitsupra
Just think of the damage those hot gasses could do!
mattdavies
I have driven and old mini with the exhaust off and the engine was fine, i would of thought it would of been ok for a couple of miles. If stopped by the Police then you can always say it came off im getting it fixed

mellonman
just nurse it there what do you think a 4.5" full system is like lol
listy
It'll be fine mate. I had to drive mine with no exhaust 8 miles when it went to get sprayed. Had the exhaust in the car, so if the police stopped me, I could say i was on the way to the garage to get it fixed, which was in part, true
Shane
Just make sure that the gasses are not anywhere near to any wiring, hoses or anything flammable.
Noz
Ok sweet, thanks guys. I know the forced induction setup should remove any concern with it but obviousy not exhaust is completely different on the exhaust gases than any system however big. Always best to ask stupid questions rather than make a stupid mistake.

mattdavies
When the exhaust fell off my classic 1275 mini and it was coming straight out the manifold (LCB) it sounded mean !! V8 drag car style
