listy
Right, with my new career hopefully being round the corner, after a couple of years of putting money to one side, I'm looking at buying a fresh import TT6, and effectively rebuilding the whole car, (Ibrar style ) and going single looking for around 650hp. So what I want to know is, how does this list sound? And is there anything else people would recommend? I know its not the cheapest way to go, but when it gets done, I want it done right, and done once! Some of it, I know, isnt required, but I want it lol PART Rad hoses - silicon - white K-Sport 8 pot front brake kit K-Sport 4 pot rear brake kit Whifbitz S362 turbo kit 500-650bhp K&N breather filter Blitz advance power induction Turbosmart raceport bov Oil catch tank Competition clutch stage 4 six pad Competition clutch lightweight flywheel Braided clutch hose APR carbon cooling plate 25 row oil cooler GReddy 3 row FMIC Twin electric fan conversion Koyo Rad Blitz DSBC soec 2 boost controller Syvecs S6GP ecu Syvecs wiring loom adaptor Syvecs calibration switch Syvecs water/oil temp sensor Syvecs water/oil temp sensor Syvecs air temp sensor Syvecs oil/fuel pressure sensor Syvecs oil/fuel pressure sensor NTK wideband o2 sensor Bosch wideband knock sensor Syvecs Toucan Display Whifbitz built forged engine block Whifbitz adjustable cam pulley Red Whifbitz adjustable cam pulley Red HKS uprated cambelt Whifbitz 4" exhaust HSD coil overs Tanabe anti roll bar kit Whifbitz front strut brace Whifbitz rear strut brace Superpro polybushes front & rear

tooquicktostop
Get advise from your tuner and mapper some little mistakes in your list You will not need a boost controller Don't see any fuelling mods, injectors, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump I would go S366 if you want 650bhp No need for a built block 264 cams would be needed Hope that helps
Geo
go HKS BOV as these open loads quicker than any other ones.

David P
A lot of water goes under the bridge in "a couple of years". Edited September 17, 2012 by David P (see edit history)
Supra Kong
A lot of water goes under the bridge in "a couple of years". Exactly what i thought!!!
SteveR
I'd get rides in various single turbo Supras to feel what sort of power - and just as important, delivery of that power - you want to go for, before deciding on exact spec. Just buy one that's up for sale when you come to buy and strip then rebuild it if you want; you'll save £20k easily.
welshbuddy
try buy it all 2nd hand ?
Chris Wilson
If I am honest I would have to see nearly half of that stuff is totally unnecessary and a waste of money. Some of it is pretty naff quality, too
Kaan W
Buy one already done. Thats my next plan
listy
This is exactly why I posted this The thing is, I dont want to buy one pre done. I want to buy the car, and do it all from scratch. I get more satisfaction that way. The built block was something that should have been removed. Whoops! The reason for doing it from scratch, as I said, is because the whole car will be rebuilt, with all common faults being dealt with. In essence, the plan is to rebuild the car so it is effectively brand new. I know some of it, generally wouldnt be needed, but if I get the job I'm looking for, in the first two years, I'll earn upwards of £200k so the cost wouldnt really be a problem. I just want to build a supra thats 100% one of a kind. With the turbo, it says on Whifbitz the kit is good for 650hp iirc. Fuelling is something I clean forgot about if I'm honest And for those interested, that pretty lot comes to around £24k Edited September 17, 2012 by listy (see edit history)
abtin90
Sounds like an interesting project. But why not use your current car as the basis for it? I've always loved how your car looks. And if you are thinking of buying another car I'd go with one that already has a single conversion done and them focus on getting it to look the way you want it too. Also would you be doing any of the wok yourself? If not you'd def need to think about how much the labour will cost you. Just my opinion though at the end if the day it's your choice. And congrats on the new career
listy
A lot of the work would be done myself, as there would be no hurry to get it done. I want a new one as mine has circa 100k miles on it now, and want a lower mileage one for the base.
