tony tt
This has probably been asked many times but i cant seem to find anything on search. I have a full bpu tt auto with a mines ecu would there be anymore benefit from the car if i put uk spec 550cc injectors in it? Or would it be a waste of time for bpu. Thanks. mattdavies
You would need some sort of mapable ECU / piggyback ECU to run the injectors but i believe there is benefit

tooquicktostop
Made a comfortable 440 bhp on my BPU with 550's but you will need some injector control
hodge
They will run fine with the stock ECU, but you will need a resistor pack Tony as they are low-impedance injectors and a J-spec are Hi-Imedance. You won't notice any difference power but your EGTs will be lower as well as you will run slightly richer.

TheTurtleshead
I believe if you add 550 uk spec injectors you need to run an aftermarket piggyback or standalone ecu. As the ecu is obviously mapped for J-spec 440 injectors, and it will just run massively rich if you simply bung them in.

hodge
There's loads of members on here have done it without a piggyback. It's also done on the mk3 supra with a Lexus V8 MAF. It just runs a little rich off boost that's all. Really can't see it being an issue.

Waste of time at normal BPU levels.
