listy
I have a metallic clinking sound when I go over small bumps (like a tarmac layer missing kind of bump). It isnt every time, but often enough for it to worry me a little bit. As soon as I can get the car in the air, I'm going to check all the subframe bolts, wishbones, suspension etc on that side, to make sure nothing is loose. Anything else anyone can suggest that it might be other than those things?
listy
Think I found the problem. The lower wishbone bolt's nut had wiggled its way almost off the bolt. Just need to go for a quick drive to confirm thats what the problem was.

You might want to get the geo checked afterwards, if it's the one I'm thinking of, the front adjusters, they are supposed to be torqued to 226nm which is really tight. Needs to be up on a ramp with a large torque wrench.
-Welsh-Stealth-
Careful not to snap them/it aswell. It's a PITA & a two man job, very difficult to adjust camber then caster. As each effects the other.
Josh
I can hear rattling, like coins in a pocket from the passenger side when going slowly and over bumps, and from what CW said a while ago, it seems to be the anti rattle shims/retaining pins/clips on the pads that may have come loose. listy
Its the one right at the bottom behind the caliper. The long bar with thread on it for a bolt the other side. Nothing adjustable about it It hasnt fully solved the problem though Happens much less often now, and isnt as noticeable, but is still there. I think in my "its so obvious" moment, I pressumed it must be the problem, and didnt check anything else so this weekend, its off with the wheel again, to have another look. Changing the brake fluid and power steering fluid anyway, so not really a chore compared to that, and the wheel will be off anyway.
