hazza
Weighing up either going down decent turbo kit or selling the car as it is and buying a (converted) tt auto arga supra? Im hopefully getting the kit from a guy on here for, around £700 complete with new manifold too, would it make my car worth more if I sold her? Or should I not bothered? What you guys think? A decent manifold will be well over £700 on its own.
sideexitsupra
What do you mean by complete kit? Factor in fueling, ECU, intercooler and mapping and much more than just £700 for a tubbie and manifold (and oil lines if you are lucky). Also need to think about brakes, exhaust and sensors for the ECU or guages too. I think the only "cheap" way to do it is buying one already done. DaveR
Cheap, yes, but surely risky? It would have been much cheaper when I decided the time had come to go single for me to have sold my car and bought one that already had a single turbo upgrade, but there would be no cast iron guarantee that the car wouldn't then disintegrate 2 miles down the road. I know that technically there isn't any guarantee that mine won't do that either, but I at least have confidence in it because I have owned the car for over 4 years and it was totally stock when I bought it, meaning I know its modification history and all the work that's been done to it to get it to where it is today. Rambly, but the point is: "you pays your money, you takes your choice..."
