Marco79
Having just bought an NA-T setup as an 'intro' engine to my project before putting in my fully built gte block I'm looking at converting the GE ignition system to GTE to make the engine swop easier come the time. The car is a blank canvas so it's a good time to do this. What parts do I require to achieve this and is there any known problems I will encounter doing this? Appreciate any help with this
Swampy442
Id say it would be nigh on impossible to convert to the GTE system, much easier to get a GTE engine and ECU and slap that in.

Really I've an aftermarket ecu that can be programmed to control the spark so I just figured with a TT loom, coil packs and a maf map sensor change something could be thrown together lol Already got a GTE engine but that's the next phase when ive got used to the car and 500bhp then in goes the expensive built engine running upwards of 800bhp Just signed upto club na-t to see if they can offer any insight as I'm sure it's been done

mattdavies
Didnt realise you were NA-T Dave With a supporting loom i dont see why you shouldnt be able to run coilpacks via your ECU, it will need mapping though

TRD-1
Marco its possible to run the GTE Ignition on a GE engine, its not overly difficult, will require u making a small custom wiring loom for the Ignitor and coilpacks. The best thread in the world that covers this is here
