RB-GTE
It's annoying, When I turn the key, it will just make one CLICK sound and thats it. I have to keep turing the key, sometimes I have to do it 15 times before it will actually start. The battery on this car is strong, is this the starter failing? Could the battery terminals be the problem? are they not giving connecting good enough for the car to get started? yes look old and almost rusted but can I get these from Toyota? it doesn't look like your regular kind of connector I can get at the local store. Dnk
Sounds like the starter to me but rusty battery terminals aren't good so i'd definitely be replacing them. Toyota or a local motor factors i'd have thought.
stevie_b
Almost certainly the starter motor contacts. You can buy a refurb kit from Toyota. Search on here for something like "starter motor contacts".
SteveC
It'll almost certainly be bad contacts in the starter solenoid. I've just replaced mine after having the same symptoms you've described. I bought a repair kit off eBay for about £15 delivered. Just search for 'Supra starter repair JZA80'.
