James
Attempted to fit my 1st decat yesterday and was having quite a bit of trouble. Everything was completely solid as you may imagine! My worry is the studs to the manifold - I don't want to damage these! I'm almost thinking it'll be easier to buy another manifold, fit the decat to that then fit that manifold instead! Does this sound a bit overkill?! It is either that or just take it to a garage I suppose! Though I worry about them snapping stuff as well! Iky
It needs plenty of heat, oxy-acetelyn is best as the shock of rapid temp change breaks the grip. might be best getting it up a ramp in a garage.
ballsdeep
Did mine last week without taking the manifold off, used plusgas and a flexi ratchet spanner came off easy! Just soak them over night! Good luck..
James
Hrmm ok I'll have to try something like that then! Had no luck yesterday at all! Not even close! Maybe I just need a healthy dose of MTFU

Dr_Doom
+1 for plusgas, it worked wonders on mine! Make sure it's plusgas though, wd40 is nowhere near as good. If the worst happened and a stud snapped, they go into the turbo elbow (type thing) not the manifold, so you'd have to remover that and drill them out. Not the end of the world
Caesard
Used WD40 and a flexible ratchet on mine. Just jacked up the car on the street. The flexible ratchet is a most, and you have to lie with your legs pointing towards the driver side wheel to be able to get the best leverage on all bolts.
