listy
I'm just wondering about the True Twin Conversion and have a few questions as I have searched but to no avail. All questions are relative to stock J-Spec twins. 1. What are (if any) the advantages of TTC? 2. What is the safe boost to run in TTC? 3. When do the turbos come on line in TTC? 4. What are the disadvantages of TTC? 5. Will TTC lessen the life of the turbos? 6. Is there a power output difference between sequential twin and TTC? If so, good or bad? How much? I'm sure there are more questions, just haven't thought of them yet If anyone can think of anything else relevant, please feel free to post opinions and experiences. a98pmalcolm
Its rubbish unless your on Syvecs I did it on a stock ECU it felt laggy, and no different in power compared to normal mode. So I changed it back. How ever when Ryan advised to go TTC with Syvecs I pulled the "err no thanks face" but he insisted it was awesome with the syvecs set up and he wasn't wrong, was awesome with an after market ECU when mapped correctly.. Lude
Boost comes on later, And car souds suprisingly different. I prefer sequential
ADZsupra
Malcolms right in what hes saying..ryan swares by TTC mode when mapped...its something im considering long term. Lee p said one of the best cars he'd ever driven was a mapped TTC supra..the turbos can be pushed slightly harder..and if mapped the lagginess can be reduced so they kick in sooner..but what your notice is a more linear power band and a more growly/louder exhaust note! Gaz6002
You don't need a Syvecs. It's great with anything you can use to adjust the fuelling with, but awful if you leave the fuelling alone. The Supra is easier to drive with TTC, launches better and will get you used to the power delivery of a single turbo car. I did it and really enjoyed it. Parry_10
I had my old car in TTC mapped on a emanage and much preffered it. As said a piggyback or aftermarket ecu is a must though. Both turbos kick in around 4k rpm
