benkei
and you possibly wouldn't know you've done it either You'd definitely hear the thud, and notice the door suddenly stop opening. I'll have to see a dent guy and get a quote.
Havard
If you open a door into another car fast enough to make a dent, you know about it. They could just be pig ignorant and actually not know, for this I would bury my foot in both or their front doors just to show that ignorance will not be tolerated. If your company car park is congested, there is NO way I would be taking my pride and joy there at all. Strategic parking is my speciality and if there aren't any decent trouble free spaces then I would not park there. I have been known to go to the gym and park about half a mile away in order to avoid any unwanted dings. Just don't put yourself in a position where your car could be "easily" damaged by idiots or people with kids who don't think before they open doors etc. It hasn't happened yet but if I found a dent in any of my cars and I was 100% which vehicle did it, I would be claiming off their insurance or just causing enough damage to write it off. ie, every panel dented if there was no CCTV around. tbourner
If your company car park is congested, there is NO way I would be taking my pride and joy there at all. Most of the spaces at work seem really narrow for some reason, there's one car park that is better and I used to use it but now they've built a creche nearby so we get the mums parking there all through the day! Now I park in the little used park at the back where the transits and transport buses of local companies park - they don't come near the cars that are parked there and I think people don't realise they can park there, so there's only ever a few cars there mostly Audis and Mercs as well - perfect. cooke
I find if you have to park somewere dodgy parking beside expensive cars would mostly eliminate the problem of door dinging as the chances are that person wont want to damage there car
benkei
I always try and park at an end space and next to passenger doors, as they're less likely to need to be opened. You can park away from people, but you can't stop people parking next to you! Will have to see what the outcome is tomorrow, I'm not holding my breath though... I would have been on the last spot next to the exit. Slightly on the white hatching. The plan is that most dicks would park before they got near to the exit. I am going to start teaching this at my local college..!! H.

That normally would be my place to park too but I have seen people drifting towards the left as they look for their tickets so that scares the hell outta me!! benkei
Hope you get it sorted mate, that would bug the hell out of me!! It DOES bug the hell out of me! No rust, scratches or dents, until some complete tw@t inflicts their stupidity and ignorance on me! I wish there was someone to sue! Anyway, I spoke to security this morning and he showed me the extensive CCTV network they have set up! ONE camera which points at the exit... That's it! So no hope of any evidence at all! Looks like I'm going to have to fork out and get it repaired myself It's such a strange dent, and in an awful place too! Right where the sun catches it on a completely smooth panel! Can anyone recommend a dent specialist in the West Midlands, Wolverhampton area?
