SkyJawa
Thanks again guys. I was bloody petrified TBH, though love the riding, thought I'd made a few other no-no's but obviously not Managed the U turn anyway which is what I had most of an issue with. Plan is to get a J1/J2 or A1 ZX6R so either the 599, or the 636. Bit pushed on funds TBH but seen an 02 636 A1 on 3k miles in Twikenham for 3499

Pete
Why are bikes always about loads of numbers and letters? It all means nothing to me! Is there a guide called "What's all This Bike Bollocks?" or something?
terribleturner
Why are bikes always about loads of numbers and letters? It all means nothing to me! Is there a guide called "What's all This Bike Bollocks?" or something? It's easier than if you look at it from a bikers POV. ZX6, R6, CBR 600 all refer to 600cc bikes. People more aware of bikes will then know that good old Kawi decided to make a 636cc engined bike. The numbers will give you the size of the engine at the end of the day. Unlike a BMW 323i of Pug 307 to name but a few. The letters reffer more to the chassis. CB600 is a naked bike like you'd see a couriour on. A CBR600 is the Racing body. I think it looks harder to understand than it really is at the end of the day.

Paul
Well done mate, enjoy but be bloody carefull out there. I passed my bike test 22yrs ago (eek) and have seen the roads get worse for bikers. In the last couple of months heard of two deaths of friends relatives on bikes, both very experienced riders and the accident wasn't their fault. It seems to me that car drivers are becoming less aware and more complacent when driving? Anyway, don't want to put a downer on it, get your bike and get out there Paul
