Supra Kong
.... to buy a used single auto (i have seen some between 5-9k) rob all the good bits of it, refit your standard TT's back to the auto and re-sell for 4-5k? This would give you all the supporting mods and a turbo kit for 2-4k!! Absolute bargain!! Question is: Can you strip the kit of an auto and fit it to a 6 speed? What about the aftermarket ECU they would have fitted.... Auto to manual? Would this work?

You'd need to get another auto loom though for the car you're selling on, as the manual loom is no good in an auto iirc. You're also going to need an updated clutch! If this all works, why is nobody doing it? Seems to be make perfect sense?
j_jza80
Because very few people are wanting to go single at the moment! For those few who are, it's never been cheaper than it is now with all these cheap autos and top spec cars being broken.
Supra Kong
Because very few people are wanting to go single at the moment! Hmmm... Thought that only people who have gone over the top now need to break them, cause a) they cant get their money back and b) they all want GTR's. But surely most people still want more power for as little cash as poss? I am not going to invest 10k in something that is going to be unsaleable at 20k later on..... Supra Kong
For those few who are, it's never been cheaper than it is now with all these cheap autos and top spec cars being broken. Well, all these braking threads are still overpriced imo. Most of those will still result in 7k+ for used parts once you add the supporting mods! Classic example, buy the auto Mr Whiffin has for sale at the minute.... take the turbo, 264 cams, ecu, injectors etc take the rltc, the awesome Rota wheels, bits of the bodykit... and not to forget the Kad brake setup!!! Then revert to std, sell for £4500.00 And you got all of that for £4500.00 That is hugely cheap!!!! You cant get anywhere near that with all these cars being broken!!! If only i had 9k to begin with..... Damn!!!
jazz1
I can borrow money as I've seen some engines for sale I'm interested, I never had the intention to buy them but if I can benefit a bargain I will , no rush though. I reckon if you hang on 6 months or so, you'll get proper bargains!!!
