StuartW
Hi Just about to replace my ARP 2000 Studs/Nuts with L19 and they have turned up un packaged as in not in an ARP box, With ARP moly lube and no instructions. ARP website has a search for torques kit part number, The ARP 2000 and L19 states the same 80ft pounds...This does not seem right especially as they are both listed as 2000psi tensile strength where the ARP2000's are 190,000 and L19 listed as "L19 is a proprietary material capable of achieving strengths of 220,000/230,000 or 260,000/270,000 psi as may be required. Both L19 and ARP2000 steels are modified bcc (martensite) at room temperature. L19 has the same advantage as ARP2000 in that a high strength is obtained at a high tempering temperature. This alloy is easily contaminated and requires special handling." so now i am confused.com!! Any help appreciated as i need to get this thing re assembled tonight for the Euro's Cheers Stu
