hodge
Hi guys Are facelift and Pre-facelift 3 spoke steering wheels the same size. I know the facelift had an airbag but for some reason I'm thinking the diameter of a facelift wheel is slightly smaller. Can anyone confirm if I'm right or not or even have pics of the 2. Cheers John
David P
Same size, different girth.
hodge
Same size, different girth. Girth as in which part, the centre airbag part or the actual wheel thickness you hold.
David P
The wheel thickness you hold, pre-facelift has a little more girth.

hodge
Facelift looks very much like a TRD wheel. I have an idea
David P
That's a facelift Tiptronic wheel with a Celica Mk3 boss.

hodge
What about a TRD steering wheel, is this the same diameter as a stock or smaller??
hodge
Ok, I've just checked sizes of a TRD and an OEM wheel and the TrD wheel is ONLY 14.29mm smaller, which to be fair is nothing. Think I'm going to have a go at making a replica out of a stock facelift steering wheel.
JODY T
Might be cheaper to get an is200 one and remove the Lexus badge and replace with a nice trd logo.. I picked up my is200 wheel for 35. On the facelift one the Toyota badge is embossed onto it so might b harder to cover.
