kniff_666
i have a very strange feeling that i am being stupid about this whole thing. Background, Bought a Celica st202 steering wheel with centre (non-airbag type) off a member on here as shown below. Wheel arrived as shown below in very good condition and assembled. BUT I cannot remove the front cover bit of the wheel (where to the horn is) to get it on my bloody car. Now i looked in the obvious place (as shown in the dis-assembly image) to remove the retaining screw but there is no screw there. top left image in image Can someone please assist my complete thickness and tell me how to remove the bloody front cover so i can fit this to my car (for info, i have an aftermarket nardi one on at the moment complete with boss kit and thats how it was when i bought it)
kniff_666
come on guys. help me! you can even tell me that i am being a d**k and should just yank out Edited August 30, 2012 by kniff_666 too much sweary sweary ... sorted (see edit history)
Ross C
Your just being a dick and should just yank out. In all seriousness, it should only be the one screw that you mentioned that holds it in, the wheel is the same as a pre-facelift Supra wheel except for the middle bit. You may just have to try and tease it off
mellonman
it will come off for sure it might have a clip at rthe back somewhere hard to see
Guigsy
Your being a dick But seriously im not sure. Removing my 4 spoke airbag there was 2 covers each side in the back. Then a screw under each. Then the centre comes off. I think... But iv never seen that wheel before Edited August 30, 2012 by Guigsy (see edit history)

kniff_666
quick update. managed to sort the steering wheel out. I tell you now that it took an awful lot of tugging to get it off (i thank you!) didn't take any pictures of it but it looked as tho someone had put silicone sealant in the tabs to make up for the fact that there is no securing screw. anyway it is sorted now. (why is nothing i do ever freakin' easy?) maybe its me
