tooquicktostop
Dave has been manic fitting parts ready for this Friday when the car goes into Garage Whifbitz for the single turbo conversion, Dave has fitted the SRD twin fan kit which he tells me performs really well, it is on a switch right now on the dash, so on or off, can the syvecs control the fans if is so do I need to do anything (buy parts) in advance of Ryan getting the car for mapping
Geo
yes mate, if Ryan is doing the mapping then he should be able to put them on at say 90degs then off when temps hits say 80degs all done through the syvecs
johnny g
Should control the relay to switch them on mate, I think. Youll have to wire it to the higher rated output though
Lee P
I would get Dave to give me a shout and I can tell him what to do if that's ok.

Sure Lee, thanks for posting, he told me that the air flow was so good it was actually too much to have them on all the time and I dont fancy switching them on and off all the time manually
Lee P
Yeah they shouldn't be on all the time, they should be set by the syvecs. Get him to give me a shout and will go through it with him.
tooquicktostop
Dave has run out of time (full day on other cars tomorrow) so will have to be done at Garage Whifbitz
SUPRALOOPY
Lee can the trigger wire I'm using from the switch just be plumbed into the syvecs? I have the running on full when they are on all controlled by relays so will the syvecs just read 90 degrees and send a 12v feed to the relays? Lee P
The syvecs is a negative output so put that through a relay to give a 12v and connect it to your output from the switch. You can leave the switch there as an overide as well. The syvecs can them be programed to run the fans, I usually have them come on around 94-95 and go off at 89-90. The fans should be fused seperatly and have a relay each.
SUPRALOOPY
Fans have seperate relay and have a 30 amp fuse each too. If I get time I'll run a another relay ready for ryan ;0)

Kaan W
This may sound dumb but where do I get a relay from and which type do I need?
Lee P
A standard 4 pin relay is fine, they are usually rated to 40amps. Any motor acc shop will sell them, also electrical places like maplins.
