merckx
I've heard some have this problem when setting up a new system. Just what I've read: Somebody said it was best to get it working outside in the open air where it can get a good view of a satellite. When it's functioning like it should then put it back in the car. Dunno if this will work, worth a go.
Homer
Well that might explain it, I've been having loads of problems with mine this last week. Seems to be working okay today though!
Pete
After I didn't use mine for several weeks it did this. After about 45 mins it started working again. Definately seem worse the longer you leave them. Try again tomorrow.
Seb
Get in touch with Blackspot/Road Angel, and you can send it off to get it fixed.

Could be wrong but hasn't it got an internal battery that helps the unit 'remember' where it was and so picks up the satelites quicker. After a few weeks the battery could be dead! how_supra
Sometimes mine can take up to 20 minutes to find a satellite. Of late it has been taking longer. Sorry no help
nuttynutz
people are talking about the classic angel right? mine is doing that too. thought it was just me

After a few weeks the battery could be dead! That would make sense. Mines a New Road Angel, not classic.
cashpoint
When you first get the RA you're supose to put it in a window and leave it so it can find the satellites. If you've not used it for a bit stick it in a window in your house so it can find the satellites. Driving around would make this process take longer as it does have some form of memory. KatieC
Hi, I have the same problem with the Snooper S6R Neo, the problems are exactly how you describe. Sometimes it doesn't work for all of a 200 mile journey and sometimes it takes a while to find the satellites but finally will find them. Laz was talking to Oxy a couple of weeks ago and he suggests that it is the Crystal that is inside the units. (he didn't explain what the crystal was or what it did ) but it has to be sent away to be fixed we think... We've been downloading it regularly and even resorted to taking the snooper off its mount and placing it in the glove box, thinking that it's getting too hot on the dash board under the windscreen!!!
