Jamesy
didnt you buy it for 17k Not that it's anyone's business but Jamesys, but I really hope that is not true. Totally out of the spirit of the forum. to be honest what i bought it for has sod all to do with you, or anyone else. ....for the record NO i didnt..... plus i have spent quite a few grand on it since owning...again not that i have to reason anything to anyone. I will price it as i see fit and i asked nicely in post 1 that im not interested in discussing the price. the price i paid and the cost it took to bring it home and the situation from the previous seller is, again, no one elses business. end of
Guest Budz86
I feel for you Jamesy, even having to consider this must be heart wrenching The car has so much history and must be a dream to own! I know you would keep it if you could. On the plus side, if you did sell it, and the money helped make you're 2 businesses grow, you could earn your millions and buy it back! Or, be able to move onto one of your other dream cars? 30k is a big amount of money and would help with all sorts of things, giving you and the family a better life. Whatever you do, you win either way.

Callaway Motorsport
It would be sad to see this monster go out of your hands jamesy, your a real supra lover. Next to that, having a business (and another in the background) myself, i know exactly how you feel about trying to feed in some more pieces of coloured paper. At certain point it helps companies get just that little more kick to get the point you want it to. Family and future plans go ahead of anything else i would say. letmeshowyou
It's a beautiful car, but if it's a money thing, you should definitely break it. Consider how you'd feel if the next owner did, knowing YOU could have been financially better off? See the positive... you'd never see it about as a reminder of what you once had BTW I wondered if this was a GTR inspired thread to start with! James
I wouldn't mind seeing this car (either before you sell it or after you decide to keep it) at some point
marcAB10
is simply owning this car not enough of a cushion to fall back on... as in, if you ever needed to, you could just sell the car if you had no other choice? otherwise it's just money in the bank and not a car that makes you feel amazing every time you drive it sitting on your drive? hopefully you manage to keep it, as it's clear that you want too but if needs must and it makes sense to let it go then thats understandable. True that. If you are in dire need of 30k, life and death matter for your business, then sell or break it. It is an asset in its current state, and you don't sell assets just so you can store the little notes under your pillow. When you really must, then do. Otherwise, continue enjoying. If it is to grow the business then you got the asset there, one thing with money in the bank is chipping away at it & then finding instead of having £30k you got £20k left. Push yourself harder to create that cushion you want, the Supra should motivate you.
Caesard
This. one thing with money in the bank is chipping away at it & then finding instead of having £30k you got £20k left. Lol, happened to me. Had some bit of money in a stash and I woke up one day and saw only 2k left. Actually thought the bank had robbed me as I just couldn't lay a finger on many tangible things I had spent it on. Must have been those thieving gremlins.

I say what I think its the way I am and the job I do, some people dont like it but I couldnt give a fook get over it. Jamesy only you can decide if you want to keep it. Its a cracker of a car and a car you longed to purchase. But it is only a car what means more to your a lump of metal on wheels or your happiness and secure future of your family. If it was me i know what id be doing. Good luck with it all in what ever you decide. Oh by the way some lovely GTR's on PH. Supra Gaz
Wow, this thread got off topic didn't it. I hope you don't sell mate, it would be a shame to loose another good bloke on here. The club has lost some old school good characters lately. On another note mate, if you sell yours, mine will be even rarer in West Sussex!
