build your own kit or i believe whifbitz makes an na-t kit nowadays, atleast with them you'd have some comeback as over the pond its rather more difficult if somethings not right. Looking at that kit i would imagine you could piece together your own kit for half that to get you started. That would give you some spare pennies for some engine management.

ahh well maybe if your not too sure about some things you could try and do a bit of research on here, try and get a few opinions on parts and do some searches for people that have done what you intend to do already. Everybody started somewhere, I'm sure someone who has done it will be along soon to give some input as I went single from GTE but plenty on here have went from GE.

Only advice i would give is consider carefully whether 2.5-3k for a TT conversion which is plug and play nearly, is maybe a better option 'for now' over trying to get bpu power out of a GE engine which will take longer and possibly give you heartache.

There's a chap on here that does the conversions pretty regularly as far as i'm aware. If your only after 400hp I would definately go with a GTE block now. Once the initial pain of paying for it has gone you can start working towards more power and it'll be easier.

You'd be best buying a full TT lump and going BPU my friend.

what else would i need apart from the engine, wiring loom, ecu, gearbox, clutch, intercooler and exhaust piping ?

Yes the BL kits are good quality but don't underestimate how much an NA-T conversion will cost, the price of the kit is just a fraction of the total cost once you add in ECU/mapping, spark plugs, gauges, oil, oil filter, boost controller, oil cooler, labour, clutch, gearbox? etc.

My advice would be to sell your NA and buy a TT, it would work out far cheaper, give you similar performance and the car will have a better resale value.

Gearbox and clutch wont need to be replaced mate. Mine had a NA-TT conversion, and still has a w58 in it.

Also, the J-Spec brakes are good enough for the power you are looking for, just get good pads.

If NA-T is still an option, speak to "Dr_Jeckyll" or "Noz" on here. Both have had good success with NA-T.
