thetrashcanman Posted August 25, 2012 Share Posted August 25, 2012 Ok so I was out driving the supra, when all of a sudden it started making this clattering noise, and now it has no power at all D: I thought it could be the bottom end, or possibly a spark plug, but I'm no mechanic, wonder if anyone else has any ideas? Yes it does move, especially in the torque bad it pulls fine, but as soon as it gets the power band it just doesn't accelerate as quickly as it should. Gears work fine and yeah I'd say it was a metallic sort of noise and its coming from the front of the car, definatley from the engine. No lights on the dashboard, its a manual, it's maybe idling a bit rough, possibly misfiring, but I'm not sure. and cheers Adam, I might PM him in a bit, I shall try and put a video up, so everyone can get a better idea of the noise. It looked mechanically complete and nice and clean and well maintained and original under the bonnet, other than 2 springs I took from the throttle body.
