thanks guys

really stupid question im going to ask now

im not sure how long this has been doing this for because it doesnt make a sound and it feels rock solid but you can see its nakered, only wobbles on idle with revs it straightens

what are the odds of me being able to drive 10 mile without it flying off? or can this go at any second now?

I wouldnt drive it too far mate. Off boost you *might* be ok.

Mine was like this, and after I put a load of bits back together, gave it a couple of revs to make sure everything was back how it should be, and it fell off! If that was on a main road, I probably would have lost my rad at the same time.

Get a pulley delivered next day, and replace it yourself. Took me 45 minutes :)

I used the starter motor mate. Breaker bar on the bolt, resting on the floor PASSENGER SIDE (cant emphasize this enough, else you would do a lot of damage!), dont start the car, but crank it over, and the bolt will come off. Probably helped that I had mine off a few weeks earlier to do the oil pump etc.

Then its a case of removing the pulley (easier said than done, I had a very large Fijian pull it off lol)

New pulley on, bolt back on, (torque it on, cant remember off the top of my head what it needs to be, I *think* 230 nm *i think*)

Belt back on, ensure all the timing is lined up correctly, and away you go :)
