Restrictor size? that will fit between 1st Decat and midpipe

So I have an autobahn88 1st decate pipe, also a 3" HKS midpipe.

 

Between both of these a restrictor ring will be fitted.

 

I'm going to take the gasket to a machine shop and they will make it based off that, and once its complete a 2" hole drilled through the middle.

 

 

My question is how thick is it supposed to exactly? so it will bolt up perfect?

 

 

Of course that will go in the middle between both those pipes, and a gasket on both ends of the restrictor.

The restrictor ring is usually arounf the same thickness as a gasket.

You could always simply buy one from Whifbitz, around £10 iirc.

Does it come with the gaskets with the rr?

I think most just use the RR as a gasket mate. Thats what I did anyway and have had no problems.

Is it made of gasket material? If the re is metal won't the exhaust leak?

Bit of exhaust paste/fire putty either side of the RR mate. Some dont like doing it way that, but myself and others have had no problems. I get no leaks at all.

Not sure mate, never measured it. Whifbitz do a 1bar RR though as mentioned before. Costs around a tenner.
