Caesard
I just went bpu, and have been trying to tune my hks evc. But whenever I am on around 0.9 or 1 bar of boost, the hard pipe leading from the throttle body to the SMIC always pops off, regardless of what I use to secure it (jubilee clips et al). Has happened twice now. Any help as to why it does that and a possible solution?
scoooby slayer
is it a proper hardpipe with a lip on it or just a smooth pipe ? if theres no lip the jubilee has nothing to clamp behind to hold it on.
David P
Fit stainless steel high pressure Mikalor hose clamps and forget it. http://www.mikalor.com/eng/company/mikalor-hose-clamps/3-high-pressure/abrazadera-supra-inoxidable-w5/
RobD
Bead the intercooler pipe as said previous if there's no lip for the clamp to hold on to, and make sure it's a decent jubilee clip and not a mickey mouse one!
Caesard
There is no lip on the hard pipe. Is there a way of creating one?
RobD
Have a bead of weld put around the edge of the end of pipe, make sure it's enough to stop the jubilee moving off the pipe!
