mellonman
I'd guess that people having less disposable money + rapid increase of fuel costs + crap weather = taken a toll. Also I stepped down as an events org. Rose tinted specs I fear; I organised the first club-run track day, repeated it the next year, and it was run again a 3rd year by Nevins IIRC. Every time it was difficult to fill; people find a thousand reasons they can't/daren't track their Supras. Shame, because it was a great event and especially good for track newbies. Maybe it'll get a resurrection in future, I like to think so. Incidentally, there are [at least] two trackday discussion going on right now: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?275553-Club-trackday-invite-Oulton-Park-Nov-2nd http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?275405-Track-day i think noise restrictions are playing there part as well as mine no longer passes the noise restrictions for a track day , and im sure rob wouldnt track his shiney supra ever
pbryant_knight
Your car looks amazing and the effort you've put in is immense. I'd try to find a way to keep the car and get on the housing ladder. Get a longer term mortgage with less of a deposit etc. Peter.

If you drive you car on a public road with all its imperfections and loose stones and the like waiting to damage your paintwork, why not track it where conditions are usually a hell of a lot better? I'm planning on a full respray for mine, I'll still track it. It's a BIG part of the enjoyment of having this sort of car, for me. No point having all that power and speed if you can't ever really use it.

Track dont interest me, neither does drag racing but each to our own as i get a huge buzz from winning car shows plus i have the power available to open it up on a empty motorway when i want ( not a loon but i do open her up) anyway! just washed her and took her out! scared myself yet again! fresh undies needed!! love is back again!! god i love the power and noise this thing makes. Not in the same league as the bigger boys but for me its insane to drive. happy days...
