GlennK
Yep. Mine too - getting used to them though. Makes changes much better under full power Did you have the Toucan fitted as well?

Yes the toucan was already fitted before hand, I can't wait to test the paddles myself it will feel like a whole different car.
supra_ufo
how do they work do you put it in D and use them to shift up and down? or is there a semi auto button somewhere?
GlennK
Put it in 'Sport' mode using the OD button off, in D, then operate the paddleshift. Ryan has set an over-rev cut-off so no worries about blowing the engine up (other than normal...)

Also have you had the gear stick mod with one of Lee's billet knobs? That looks pretty smart!
Kaan W
I'm going for silver aeroquip fittings all round, the same as what I used for the brake lines so it all matches http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=192538&d=1412788663

Also have you had the gear stick mod with one of Lee's billet knobs? That looks pretty smart! Ryan did explain it - but I think it acts like a normal rev limiter at 7200 and hard stop at 7400 rpm...from memory on the track I couldn't get the revs up past it. No cut-out just no rev increase. And I did ask about an auto billet shifter - but it has switches in the stock one so not so easy...
Lee P
The billet gear knob adapter is now done Glenn I will post some pics up, we just need to get the gaiters made now Ryan did explain it - but I think it acts like a normal rev limiter at 7200 and hard stop at 7400 rpm...from memory on the track I couldn't get the revs up past it. Guest Nicholas
Looking great Kaan, looking forward to seeing how well the autobox works with the big power
Kaan W
Looking great Kaan, looking forward to seeing how well the autobox works with the big power Thanks Nicholas, if all the power can be mapped in without the box breaking it will be absolutely brutal. Let's hope the box lasts!
Kaan W
Lee has just informed me that he has some TRD diffs on order so I'll be going with this instead of the OS Giken now. After talking with Lee when I dropped the car off as there is still alot of work to do we have planned to have the car all mapped and running early next year. Which is ideal really as I know I'll be urging to drive it which will be a bad idea in some of the colder icy months.
Luxluc
Nice move on the TRD diff mate. I love mine ... great traction out of bends.
Kaan W
Nice move on the TRD diff mate. I love mine ... great traction out of bends. Yeah I've heard good things on both the OS and the TRD but it was down to availability at the time and as Lee has them on order it's easier just to go for one of them. I'm thinking about poly bushing the car also to help with traction I'll have to read up some reviews on them.
Kaan W
Having decided with Lee, while the diffs being changed for a TRD I've decided to have the complete rear subframe dropped and stripped out with new bushings if needed and all the framework and arms powder coated. This is the only part of the car left that's not been touched so with this refurbed the whole car will be rust free which was one of my main goals on the project. EdMorris
Are you replacing the suspension arms? I believe this is the only way one can get new ball joints, which will make a difference I suppose.

Chris Bailey
That spec list is unreal Cant wait to see it finished, maybe even a cheeky passenger ride at a Bluewater meet.
98HT
Awesome spec! Didn't have the time to read everything yet, so I'm sorry if already asked... Don't you think the 1100cc injectors are too small to max out the turbo? (noticed flex fuel, so I assume E85?)
