Kaan W
Real stunner !!! Lose the mesh .. Show that Intercooler off ! Cheers mate, the mesh is only there to protect the intercooler from stones flicking up. I'll probably take it back off I'll see how it goes. Luxluc
I would leave the mesh on mate. IC should be protected. I have one too...a must imo. For shows, you can always take it off.
Kaan W
Exactly right mate, there's nothing worse than having a front mount on display with damaged cooling fins.

Kaan W
Hypertune manifold and a few more polished bits are on. The cam covers, water necks, turbo compressor housing and a few other little bits are going to the chromers for an even better finish. Engine mounts are now uprated TRD mounts. I also had the extended sump swapped back to standard one as I'll probably be lowering the car a little more in the future and didnt wanna risk scraping it on the hundreds of speed bumps we have round here. Dnk
Aren't TRD engine mounts really firm, i'm sure i read on here that someone wished they'd fitted new stock ones instead
Kaan W
Aren't TRD engine mounts really firm, i'm sure i read on here that someone wished they'd fitted new stock ones instead Not that firm, just a bit stiffer than stock. Some people have said they hardly felt the difference after fitting TRD units.
Luxluc
Aren't TRD engine mounts really firm, i'm sure i read on here that someone wished they'd fitted new stock ones instead TRD one's are fine. Solid engine mounts aren't that user friendly on the roads.

LOGIE
Ive read good things about vibra technics mounts. May be worth looking into.
Luxluc
Worth mentioning I replaced them with TRD mounts which are so stiff you could hear every gear change and gear, rather annoying , stock would have been better result" That's surprising. I have TRD engine and gearbox mounts, and never had the feeling it was too rude on gearshifts.
Dnk
I've never used them, i replaced mine with new o/e mounts which did the job at bpu 400 ish hp
Kaan W
TRD mounts will be fine, I probably wouldn't hear any difference in the mounts with the exhaust I've got anyway.
mplavery
That engine looks awesome ... Got to be one of the best fourm Supra's easy IMO ... And it does not even start yet lol What chromers you using bud
Kaan W
Thanks dude I'm not sure what company Lee is using, there's very little few places around these days that can do a proper job. Might be worth asking him if your interested
Lee P
Its the gearbox mount that causes most of the noise not the engine mounts Tooquicktostop posted in this thread hence me just mentioning it http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?311679-Knocking-help&p=3913896#post3913896 "I replaced my engine and gearbox mounts after similar issues which took the clunking away Worth mentioning I replaced them with TRD mounts which are so stiff you could hear every gear change and gear, rather annoying , stock would have been better result"
