Kaan W
Not alot to update but I bought some Aero catches last year that I kept meaning to fit but kept putting it off as it looked a right PITA to do, and indeed it was!! Now they may not be to everyones taste but on a few occasions ive seen my bonnet lift and one time was parked up on a windy day, saftey first!! They're made for fibreglass or carbon fibre bonnets which would have been alot easier than the stock bonnet, 3 layers of metal I had to cut through using little cutting and sanding wheels in the dremmel and 8 hours later the holes were cut Next was the locking pins, I planned this out before I had the car sprayed as you can see i've had to weld a new strip at the front for the pins to bolt to, this also bridges the gap between the radiator and the support and looks a little bit tidier. A quick check to see how they clear the radiator and they fit perfectly, this could have been a disaster if I got the measurements wrong And now fully fitted, another job done and out the way

I've seen enough bonnet latches fail writing cars off. Knowing my luck this will happen!

Oh god don't say that mate, don't want that happening just make sure there always fastened down but I know what you mean about it happening with normal bonnet catches.
