Car is going to the spray shop at the end of the week, trying to figure a colour that will really make the new engine stand out.

Black?

Another darker grey?

Or keep the colour I have?

So hard to decide, I thought that black is a colour I wouldn't get bored of and looks mean but grey works with the black bits.

Thanks everyone :) ive made my mind up on the colour. The car is going to the bodyshop tomorrow which will then be undersealed and painted, everything is removed this time which will allow for a much cleaner job. Ive then got new seals etc for the windows.

I'm having trouble finding this paint code but it should be something close to this - http://www.pinterest.com/maserati/granturismo-mc-stradale-on-the-road

Think this would look incredible with the smoothed bay and a nice polished engine tucked away

Hoping to get the car back January some time as with Christmas holidays etc, I will post pics of progress anyway :)

The car is now over the body shop where the doors, boot, bonnet, glass etc has all been stripped off, the rest of the engine bay has been finished off ready for primer and the body is prepped and ready for primer too.

Now for the colour :D

I had two panels test sprayed as I couldnt quite decide between the two from the colour chips, personally I think the dark pearl Grey looks much better than the light Grey. Whilst lucky enough to catch 5 minutes of sun today we had chance to see the real colour of the two panels side by side and I must say in person the dark Grey looks stunning! Im really intersted to see how this looks on the entire car especially the engine bay. I think it will look quite brutal but elegant :eyebrows:

The dark grey looks awesome! I never understand why people put things straight on the ground. Even though they aren't the final products, I'd never put painted items like that straight onto a hard floor. How hard is it to chuck a piece of cardboard down first?!

Looking forward to seeing the finished product! :)
