r2ck_p
Hi guys, I am interested in getting my JSpec Supra TT up to BPU level and was wondering what diameter exhaust piping & de-cat piping would give the best gains. 2.5" / 3" / 3.5" /4". The noise doesn’t really bother me. I have seen the WhifBitz exhaust & decats are 2.5", but wasn't sure if it would be to restrictive. Was also considering a Blitz Nur Spec but not sure the size of these. I think the 4" might to large for BPU setup and might offer little ground clearance. Please advise. Nic
I'd go with 3" straight through, on a J-spec you will need to fit a restrictor ring whatever size you go with so there's not a lot of difference either way.
SteveC
Is there really any point bothering with the extra expense of 3" decat pipes if you need a restrictor ring? Whifbitz certainly do 3" decat pipes as I bought a pair for my UK model (restrictor ring not required).
Guest Budz86
3" straight through system mate, perfect for BPU.

Wez
I use to have a Blitz Nur Spec on my NA, best sounding MKIV exhaust, followed closely by the Veilside Ti on a singled motor
dan294
Like I said last night Rick, Nur Spec R all the way! I've got double 3" decats and a Chris Wilson Restrictor ring. Sounds awesome!

jimojameso
I'd go for the 3" matey
r2ck_p
3" it is then. Is the Blitz Nur Spec a 3" exhaust? Also where can you get the 3" decats from? Which is the best make or is it cheaper/better to get some custom made? Cheers
dan294
The Nur Spec R is 3" up to the rear silencer. Whifbitz do the decats, I think Chris Wilson does as well
r2ck_p
Cheer again Dan, is the Spec R the normal one or the quieter version?
dan294
Normal mate, think it's the RX that's the quiet one.
Paul Whiffin
My TT exhausts are 3", available in single box for noise or twin box of you want it quiet. Both are in stock along with Decats as well if needed. Thanks Paul
r2ck_p
Hi Paul, can you give me a price on your 3" double decat pipes, and the 3" exahust (single box) please. I am not sure if you offer discount to club members, but if you need my member number let me know. Cheers pal.

I am not sure if you offer discount to club members, but if you need my member number let me know. Cheers pal. Hi mate, 2.5" will be fine as you'll need to fit a 2" restrictor plate anyway so personally I dont see the point in running 3". 2.5" decats with restrictor £228 inc VAT, discounted club price £205.20 inc VAT, in stock. I can have 3" specially made for you if needed though, £268.60 inc VAT, delivery time about 2 weeks approx. 3" single box exhaust £409.50 inc VAT, discounted club price £368.55 inc VAT, in stock. Delivery £24 inc VAT on top. Cheers Paul
sideexitsupra
Or I could save you £24 delivery Rick by picking them up for you on one of many trips down south. I am actually down there Tuesday if you go for the 2.5" version!!! Just to remind you, I have 2.5" decats into twin 2.5" outlets. I would go with 2.5" decats with a twin box 3" for your car. Think the single box would be too loud and not in keeping! My tuppence worth, anyway.
Noz
Any chance on some club discount for that 4" Paul? I'm itching for that on my car!
Alex
I found the NUR was quite droney...especially on long runs. Not tried Paul's but the best I have had is a HKS Super Drager for Day to day use on a BPU. I have an HKS Hiper Ti at present and it's so loud I'm fitting dynamat to the interior! A 2.5" decat makes a lot of sense. You may even get away without the restrictor ring with smaller dia decats.

Noz
Ok mate that's fine. I'm on the case. Aside from buying paint, that's next on my list. Thanks Paul

Cheers Paul Cheers for the prices Paul, I am definately thinking the 3" Single box, as I want it to be usefull if I added a few further modifications after BPU, without having to change the whole system again. How much can you do the Blitz Nur Spec R for? Cheers

Just need to decide which system I really want, think it would be the 3" in either the Blitz or Whifbitz system. Really like the sound of the Blitz Nur Spec R, but it just a case if its worth the extra money over a Whifbitz system. Will keep you posed. Radio
Bloody e'll tim.......i'm gonna tell Nat!.......... You just spent her wedding ring.................Does sound a nice system though, could Paul W do a job lot when making the restrictor ring. Stainless is longer lasting than gold.
