drift_bear
There's a black J-spec auto (looks like an NA) sitting at a garage in cruden bay (just outside peterhead), looking sorry for itself all covered in dust and parts on the passenger seat, I am tempted to go and speak to them and find out if it's for sale or what's wrong with it. Has anyone else seen a supra in a sorry state and wanted to rescue it or is it just me?!
Homer
Yeah, I know two like that, they're on my driveway
drift_bear
Yeah, I know two like that, they're on my driveway Lol I am really tempted to see if I can rescue it, but most of my money is going into my silver supra at the moment
Supra Gaz
Me too, mine is a state, I sold my solid finished one to save this one. I'm an idiot. Its getting there though, starting to look good.
drift_bear
If I wasn't putting so much into the silver supra and also just found out my pick up needs a new head thanks to an internal crack so I doubt I can pick this up for peanuts! Might go visit tomorrow and see what they say lol
Anto
I did exactly that. Went shopping for a 330i that was advertised and saw a very sad looking Supe out the back with most of the interior on the back seat! Flat tyre, flat battery, flat paint but I swear she smiled and winked at me as I walked past. Quick conversation and a (very) small amount of cash later, I'm the proud owner. Since then, modest amounts spent on second hand parts, lots if time and love and I have a very respectable looking 90's super car. Bit like a rescue dog really, just needed a new loving home. Everyone household should have one (and no fleas or worming to deal with)!
The Raven
Save it or tell us where it is so we can save it. http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/8061/sdc10732.jpg http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/6279/supra1.jpg http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/3592/sdc10733.jpg Saved from any more abuse 3 years ago. £1200 some say it would have been kinder putting it down Edited August 15, 2012 by The Raven (see edit history)
DodgyRog
I have saved one so far, but tried to save 2 UK Specs recently One was taken by someone else and the other he wants to much for it, he has a sentimental attachment to it, as he has owned it for 10 years The problem is it needs a far bit of money into it, so I can't even get close to what he wants, does not help that the market has slumped so bad, as they still think these cars are worth big money, when in fact £2000 for a car that needs work is starting to get risky It's just such a shame when you see them sat there not being cared for or even driven, I keep pulling at his heart strings, saying it would be loved again and brought back to life for someone to enjoy again, but he keeps saying he is going to do the work himself and then sell it on, but it's been going on like that for a couple of years now It nearly make me cry nowing it is sat there dying a slow death:( I have even offered to help him in my spare time to start restoring it, just so I can see it back to health:D Edited August 15, 2012 by DodgyRog (see edit history)
Noz
There is a (please dont laugh) escort at my friends garage. It has all the wide rally archs and loads of typical escort mod's on it and it's such a shame as they looks really nice when looked after. morlette headlight GTi wheels etc and I do like ford's as a daily and was tempted to make him an offer as for 400 quid I could easily get my money back. I think if you like car's its a shame to see any car abused and left even if it's not as nice as a Supra. I often look at Rat polo's and wish I could give them a good home to sort them out covered in laquered rusty bonnets
drift_bear
I will go visit the garage later on and get some pics of the car for everyone and find out of it is for sale.
Guigsy
I saw a black usdm spec aniversary edition (had the plaque on the dash) sat in a Florida hotel carpark. Faded and peeling paintwork from the sun, it's 17' chrome wheels looked like it had never been washed and were flaking. Considering how few there are of those editions it was a real shame. If I seen that I would of been to tempted to get in touch with Jurgen about importing it and the owner for buying it lol.

drift_bear
That's me just back from the garage now, it's been there for 3 months and it's getting a new water pump, cam belt and brakes all round. Sadly the car isn't for sale yet but I'd the owner does decide then he will send him my way lol. Managed to grab a couple of pics of the poor car
