a98pmalcolm
Hay all ok. Spent the day today fitting my Brembo brakes I bought from Jamie P. We also fitted 5mm spacers with new Studs. While we were at at it I thought we may well replace the hand brake shoes as the disks are off. So a load of pics for you pic lovers: Arrived at my mates garage AKS Tuning (Only 2 minute drive from home) http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/5930/20120814092433.jpg Before the work I took some shots of what the old brakes were like: http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/5115/20120814092446.jpg http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/1666/20120814092454.jpg http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/3760/20120814092507.jpg H&R 5mm Spacers with longer studs and some new Brembo pins: http://img685.imageshack.us/img685/9590/20120814093032.jpg Ok while Alex was answering all the calls under the sun and tidying up I was left with the 1st job. nige-rz
Awesome bit of kit. Silly as it sounds, it makes the whole car look more powerful aggressive and purposeful seeing the massive brakes behind your wheels. Your car is also mint from the looks of it mate. Really liking the blue (bayside?). Great work
Josh
They look fantastic
James
Awesome! I love my UK setup, I think big brembos or APs would just be for posing. But by god do I want to pose haha!

JakeG
Good work, i really love the colour of your supra, i find blue is really hard to pull off on supra's but yours definately pulls it off
a98pmalcolm
Hay all. Thanks for the polite comments. The blue which is Bayside Blue always gets commented on, it really is a great colour.. Haven't properly tested them as I'm letting the brakes bed in. But for what I have felt there pretty powerful, and I know what you mean nige it does give an aggressive look "If he has spent the money on the brakes, it must be spent under the hood" and in this case it is correct, as next week I will be a cheeky 600BHP I will try and make a similar thread when fitting the turbo and custom dash display .. Makes it a little more fun for you lot Edited August 15, 2012 by a98pmalcolm (see edit history)
Darragh
It's incredible how rubbish the j spec brake set up looks behind big wheels, the new set up looks great
Abz
Regarding the colour I wasn't too sure at first but once I saw this in the flesh at Pod it looked superb
a98pmalcolm
lol Its surprising how small the J-Specs are when you compare them to the modern car thats 350BHP out the factory, they will also come with some crazy brake set up.. Thanks Abz. The pictures don't do the colour justice. When you see in it in person with the sun on it its really does show nicely.
Abz
Thanks Abz. The pictures don't do the colour justice. When you see in it in person with the sun on it its really does show nicely. Without a doubt, I didn't think the colour suited in the pictures so much but it was a different sight in person! I spotted you from miles away the colour really does stand out. Shame I was too busy going up and down the strip or I would have came in for a closer look. Most likely next Pod will get a better look. You'll be running a lot more power than too! Hammer
Great post mate. The new brakes really look good and because you have thin 5 spokes the whole set up really stands out and you see the full benifit of them, great work. How worn were the hand brake shoes? Lovely loking car, good work.
