Guest DNate
Hi, Please dont be mad if they already asked this, but for me the search doesent find anything. So, I would like to know some mpg numbers. To be more specified, if you use highway on a constant trip what mpg do you get? Or in city if you drive careful? Please, when you give mpg numbers say what engine do you have, or how many hp do you have. I am not really interested how much mpg do you get when you want to have fun, because at that time nobody cares [GRIN][/GRIN] Cheers
Dnk
In a perfectly running UK spec tt auto and driving on a long run very sensibly you can get 30 mpg

robin
My car is a standard UK TT Auto with 193k on the clock. The most I have had was on a steady 60-70mph motorway journey. 33.6MPG. Around down it is a lot worse, anywhere from 16-23MPG depending on how heavy footed I am and on just how bad the traffic is.
Guest DNate
Thank you for the replays. Way better than expected;) Yes its not fun, but when you go 2000 miles it matters if you make 30 mpg or 15 mpg...especially when you consider that the gas price is climbing on hills...I wish it would be at least as it was 5 years ago. TubbyTwo
My last tank of fuel from full to empty returned 430 miles, mainly motoryway at around 70-80mph, with a few blasts. Changed the O2 sensor and ran some decent fuel cleaner through and it made a huge difference. Expect it to drop massivly around town though, I can watch the fuel gauge drop when crawling through traffic in my auto TT On a serious note, as Dnk has said in a few posts, mpg is a good indicator of how well the car is running. Before swapping my O2 sensor I was getting around 220 to 270miles from a full tank, now im getting 200 miles from just over half a tank. so 350 to 400 miles is possible
