bad idle after changing manifold and throttle body

I've just changed the manifold and throttle body on my jspec tt and now. Its running like s**t :( the idle is really low and keeps cutting out unless I rev it and keep the revs up they just drop and it cuts out, I'm also smelling fuel any ideas what to check or what the problem is?

No there was no sealant on so I just fitted as it was, I just bolted them up tight not set torque, no afr gauge no

I know it might be a pain but its probobly worth taking it apart again using sealant and torquing them up to the spec then atleast you can rule that out, did you move the tps by any chance?

Well you'd only get overfuelling like that if the MAP sensor was reporting more air than the engine was actually seeing, and the only real way that can happen is if it's reporting atmospheric pressure due to a bad vacuum supply (missing/split hose) or an electrical fault.

I noticed your ! light came on in the video, have you checked for fault codes?

Edit - just rewatched it, the ! light is on all the time, I assume that's your handbrake then ;) It does seem to brighten when you rev it, but that's probably due to the low idle causing poor electrical supply off the alternator.

I still think it's a vacuum supply to the MAP sensor. Hose blocked or split/holed. You've been working all around those hoses to swap the TB and mani so it makes sense...

I hear you, it might not be overfueling it must have just been me hanging over it lol, its just the really low idle really I hoped it was a vacume hose but they seem fine, I'm in the process of stripping down and starting again right now, going to apply gasket sealant on the gaskets to the tb and inlets see if that helps as well, as well as swap the sensors on the tb for the ones that was on my original tb

Yep that's the MAP sensor (MAF is a different thing, just to avoid confusion). It's plumbed in correctly in that photo.

I had a think about any other reason it could have a low idle, based on what you've been changing. Try this - slacken the two bolts holding the throttle position sensor in place on the throttle body, and move it to maximum adjustment clockwise :) Tighten up and retest.

Is that the one at the front left by the spark plug cover? Today I've had it all out and refitted everything from the start, all sensor plugs and vac lines fine, spark plugs cleaned and o2 sensor cleaned and its still the same
