Jamesc183
Wats needed for the above swap apart from the obvious calipers an discs? Is this a straight swap Or do I need a different master cylinder etc? ThanksJC Edited August 10, 2012 by Jamesc183 (see edit history)

David P
It depends how anal you're going to be about it. Discs, callipers prune back-plates and go. Or Also fit larger back-plates and swap master cylinder.
Nic
Front calipers, discs, brake pads and pad fitting kit. Rear calipers, discs, brake pads and pad fitting kit. They are a straight swap although as said you'll either need to trim, remove or replace the rear dust shield to allow clearance for the larger discs. The larger brake calipers, particularly the fronts also need more wheel clearance between the back of the spokes and the front of the caliper. rallly
Sounds good, how difficult is it to change the rubber brake hoses to SS goodridge ones??
Shane
Well you live and learn. I have always thought the import brakes were all the same between NAs and TTs and it was only the UK spec ones that where larger?
David P
The "U.K." spec brakes were an option for J spec-ers.
Shane
The "U.K." spec brakes were an option for J spec-ers. I see. But the OP didnt say if the TT brakes he wanted to use were the larger ones or stock TTs. If they were stock JDM TTs then they would be a straight fit I think? David P
Yes they would because they're one and the same.
