ADD
Had the supra MOT'd monday of which it passed but had an advisory which was that the rear pads were down to 1-2mm. Now i only changed the pads on the car 8 months ago and have done 400 miles in that time (have noticed some vibration under heavey braking) so took the wheels off and had a look, it seems that the calpier slides on both sides at the rear are completely seized so the brakes are perminantly on. Do Toyota just sell the sliders or do i have to buy a complete caliper kit? thanks for your help ADD
Nic
Toyota sell a caliper rebuild kit which includes new seals for both calipers, you can also buy new slider bolts. It's a fairly easy DIY job to clean up the calipers, fit new seals and re-grease or you could send them to a company such as this one and get them rebuilt for you http://www.biggred.co.uk/process.php http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/2706/picture1za.jpg Edited August 9, 2012 by Nic (see edit history)
