T14PPA
im looking at going single on my auto tt. Being only 23 yrs old i do not have the money to buy a £5000 turbo kit. ive found this turbo kit on the suprastore website and i was wondering what peoples thoughts were? http://www.suprastore.com/qusu2jsitust.html
listy
Keron currently has an almost complete kit for £1200 up for grabs. He reckons another £500 will complete it. Just an idea
Tyson
You will need a lot more than that to go single mate, you will need and ECU + mapping which is going to be just as much as the kit depending on what you get and where you go. Depending on power levels you will need injectors, decats, FMIC, new radiator etc the list is endless. It can be done on a budget but you have to be willing to wait and search hard for cheap second hand parts

Guigsy
at 23 you need to make sure you can insure such a modified car first. second i wouldnt let a 23 year old near a singled supra. im 29 and i barely trust myself. thirdly that kit once its imported. and you have paid the tax wont be the bargain you think. T14PPA
How much can the tax be when delivered? Also i dont believe my age has anything to do with my driving skills. Im a mechanic so have driven many powerful cars. Being older dont mean your a good driver

Im a mechanic so have driven many powerful cars. Being older dont mean your a good driver No, but being older means you generally have more experience. We see it far to often here of young chaps landing them in ditches, one only a couple of weeks ago. Being a mechanic I thought you would have had more experience of fixing cars than taking customers cars out and pushing them to the limits? My sister has driven a Ferrari F430 but she can not drive for tut if that makes sense? With regards to tax, this can vary but don't expect it to be cheap: http://www.dutycalculator.com/help_center/Import-duty-taxes-when-importing-into-the-United-Kingdom/

I am a truck driver for almost 3 years driving in Europe, this is experience! but the things are different when you drive to the limit, you have to take it easy when you begin to drive a supra and "learn the car"! how many accidents you had so far? Nic
The 'kit' is missing a lot of parts, the downpipe is $275 extra, there is no recirculation/screamer pipe for the wastegate, intake pipe/filter? no IC pipe or fittings, gaskets, etc. Edited August 7, 2012 by Nic (see edit history)
T14PPA
Touch wood never had an accident. Im very mature and not a silly little boy. Dont just go full throttle. Ive learnt how to drive each car before i go mad. My last bmw was nos injected and was very quick. In regards to piping i have mates who work in customised piping so that wont be a problem. Is the turbo a good quality one?
