Supra Kong
Whassup? I did a track day this weekend just gone and had a wicked time. Passing M5's M3's even some Caterhams! However, although i obviously knew these cars are tail happy i never realized just how much!!!! I managed to drift and correct most of it but did spin out twice.... Yes, i was using crap tyres, but even so... it was almost uncontrolable!! lol Now, what have you guys done to improve stability? (obviously a decent set of tyres is the first update) A race Logic traction control unit? An uprated LSD? Whats a good upgrade? My mates R33 was running circles round me and we cant have that!!! Any suggestions? Thanks
Dnk
Get the suspension geometry set up for track use with good tyres set at the correct pressures
Supra Kong
I dropped the pressures to 23 psi which improved it slightly.. I'll give the suspension geometry a go though...(:
Rob_Mitchell
Rear tension set from Doluck will keep things stiff at the rear end

dr_jekyll
consult lord wilson before you go buying gimmicky products. good tyres + properluy setup = win imho. but if you want to fine tune and get technical the oricle will be your best bet
j_jza80
If I were building another Supra, one of my first mods would be a TRD diff. They make a huge difference, and combined with track tyres makes for an agile car. (for a GT anyway)

Abz
Correct geometry will make a huge difference!! Get it down to Wheels Of Motion Also remember the R33 has 4WD!

sideexitsupra
Buy SteveL's Giken diff. He reckoned it was worth getting on for a second a corner. Some of that may have been extra confidence though.
Supra Kong
Hmmm.... could be an expensive experiment!! I think Tyres and suspension geometry are first on the list! £1300 for a diff is quiet a bit...
sideexitsupra
M5W (Mike) is selling some part worn Toyo 888, they might help. Recently put some of these on and the grip over std tyres is immense.

Josh
Correct geometry will make a huge difference!! Get it down to Wheels Of Motion Also remember the R33 has 4WD! Unless it was RWD. +1 on the geometry and better tyres.
sideexitsupra
Saw those, but they are quiet wide.... would probably need to get the arches rolled? Yep but only £70 or so. Having gone from 265 Falcons to 285 R888 the difference on the rear is huge. You may also need wider rims, I have 9" front and 10" rear. As has been jokingly said, a few hundred on driver training will probably be the best investment!
downimpact
slicks or semi's cheapest way to go faster, though obviously consumable but compared to decent tyres not that much.
