SupraD06
Hello all, just a quick question realy. Im just about to purchase a chrome idle pully arm from Parry's breaking thread, but the arm is different to the one fitted to my car currently. Both cars are manual, but where as mine has a shock supporting the arm, the one im about to buy doesn't. After going through a few members garage pictures it seems there are some cars with them, and some without??? Any reason for this? Anyone had any issues after removing one before? Ive already spoke to Parry about this, and see no reason why it cant be fitted, just after abit of info as to why they are used /not used Many thanks guys

Slicknick
AFAIK the one with a shock arm is for the manual and the one without for the auto. Think it was added to deal with more violent changes on a manual car. - - - Updated - - - AFAIK the one with a shock arm is for the manual and the one without for the auto. SupraD06
That was my thinking, but the one off Parry's car is also a manual, unless his is originaly from an auto? Just wondered how important they are, and was it safe to run without.

SupraD06
Thanks for the reply's guys Well im also thinking about deleting the aircon pump, so will be running a shorter belt, and by the looks of it id either have to modify the bracket or ditch the shock arm anyway to avoid fouling the belt. SupraD06
Was planning on just taking the pump away and leaving the main bracket behind for support. Cheers for the replys
