Oil Temp

Just a quick question concerning oil temp, roughly what temp should oil be on 70 mph ish motorway driving, not really on boost and around 2500-3000 rpm. Car is a UK Spec auto not sure how this would affect it but I have recently fitted an ali rad, twin fan setup and a trans cooler also with a fan on and since fitting my oil temp seems to be much higher on motorway drives.

My oil temp sits around the 100 mark which is fine. What temps are you getting mate?

around 100 to 110, does not seem to go above 110

mine sits at around the 90 to 100 mark.

90 , Lee told me it should sit around 90.

Ummm ok then I'm running a bit hot, any ideas on what could be causing this ? The car is due an oil and filter change this weekend.

My car sits around 110 on most roads. My temp sensor is in the plate between the block & the oil filter. Where is your sensor?

Yep same, I have a sandwich plate between the filter and block with oil temp and pressure senders in it, 110 seems a bit high for my liking.

Chatting to Lee earlier we think the issue is the new ali shroud the twin fan set-up is mounted on, it is blocking the air flow threw the rad when the fans are not on, before looking at a new shroud or changing the fans etc etc, going to try the cheapest option of modifying the current set-up by improving the air flow threw the rad, prob by ducting or adding some air flow holes in the shroud.
