kniff_666
Need some help quickly. Just taken off my exhaust manifold and 1st cat. Noticed that one of the cat to manifold bolts was not tightened all the way because it's cross threaded! Pissed off now cuz it needs sorting or my exhaust will blow. Anyone got a bolt like the one in the picture below that I can have today?
straightsix
No way you can repair it with a tap & die set?
Paul
Unlikely a die would do it, might make it slightly better but I think it would still need changing.
kniff_666
Any idea on part number from mr.T?
Paul
You tried local exhaust fitters, they might have something similar?
ronttuk
I'm sure they are just 10mm 1.25 metric studs so you can replace it with a bolt of the same thread
kniff_666
Does anyone know the toyota part number for this stud and nut? (as above) I know i could replace it with something similar for the time being but i want to use genuine toyota parts in the long run. spikedjack
Similar thing happened to me, I just replaced it with a bolt of the same dimensions rather then a stud and nut

(what with the vibration and the constant temp changes) Can you use "loctite" on the bolts for the exhaust system?

Nice tip that. Just out of wanting to be completely sure about the bolt size i need. Is it an M10x1.25 bolt that i need? (hopefully still fresh in your memory?)
