bigbloodyturbo
Does anyone have a base map for an auto single? Just got my harness and i'm wanting to install it and get it to my mapper chap but the generic map on the syvecs website is a blank calibration. johnny g
He'd need to know the pin assignments for everything in the harness (injectors, spark, sensors, etc) or it might not go to well...

Chris Wilson
Never risk a base map, start the engine for the first time in the presence of the mapper, and let him have control from the first time it fires. I see loads of engines ruined by "base maps" just installed to get to the dyno, the girlfriends, the mates house, blah blah. Either get the mapper to the house for its first fire up, or trailer the car to the dyno if you are confident it will just "work". It is SO easy to bore wash an engine, det it, or be unaware of some map idiosyncrasy.

I got the base map from Ryan and he was on the fone when it first fired, just as well actually as it ran mega rich at idle and nearly fouled the plugs. Ryan helped me trim it back but it proves your point about having someone there just incase it goes tits up
