All details will be below for everyone, I have copied branners' first post from the other thread...

Im pleased to announce the details for DragonCol.

This is an event to commemorate our good friend Colin CJ Jones who passed away recently. Colin was a long standing member of the club and has provided us all with some great memories. Unfortunately he lost his fight against cancer and was not well enough to be with us on DragonBall 2012.

So as a way of remembering Colin I have created a route through Wales, starting in Shrewsbury and finishing by going across the Severn Bridge and in to Bristol for an evening of rememberance in a style to which Colin would have appreciated!!

We will be collecting for Macmillan Cancer Support which was Colin's chosen charity. More details on how to donate shortly.

I will be staying in Shrewsbury on the Friday night, ready for an early start on Saturday morning. These are the hotels available in or near Shrewsbury for the FRIDAY NIGHT. Saturday night will be in Bristol and details on that hotel will be available shortly.

Travelodge Shrewsbury Bayston Hill Hotel (right next to start point)

Travelodge Shrewsbury Battlefield Hotel (about 7 miles away)

Premier Inn Telford (about 15 miles away but better quality)

8.30am meet at Dobbies Garden centre on the A5 in Shrewsbury

9.15am leave and follow this route

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=Unknown+road&daddr=52.33127,-3.59844+to:Elan+Valley+Visitor+Centre&hl=en&ll=52.508699,-3.162689&spn=0.600136,1.159058&sll=52.329675,-3.540001&sspn=0.150644,0.289764&geocode=FYrbIwMdxN7V_w%3BFQaDHgMdmBfJ_ynZg3ofyOpvSDGZj8jfe8GPOw%3BFViRHQMdNn7J_yGFbwictcPCsilZXBf9PcBvSDGFbwictcPCsg&oq=elan+va&mra=dpe&mrsp=1&sz=12&via=1&t=m&z=10

12 noon arrive at Elan Valley Visitors centre. They are happy for us to stop there.

Stay there until 1.15pm then depart on this route (needs tweaking to go to Colin's resting place)

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=Elan+Valley+Visitor+Centre&daddr=52.2920323,-3.5291713+to:A470&hl=en&ll=52.024614,-3.290405&spn=0.606724,1.159058&sll=52.283912,-3.536739&sspn=0.0377,0.072441&geocode=FViRHQMdNn7J_yGFbwictcPCsilZXBf9PcBvSDGFbwictcPCsg%3BFcDpHQMdLSbK_ylBiUaaxsFvSDHxNZ3CI4sNEw%3BFaLMFQMd1vTL_w&oq=elan+va&mra=dpe&mrsp=1&sz=14&via=1&t=m&z=10

Arrive at resting place for 3pm, and leave at 3.30pm along this route, stopping at the services just before the bridge to regroup

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=A470&daddr=NP26+3YL&hl=en&ll=51.637198,-3.102264&spn=0.305982,0.579529&sll=51.58291,-2.827177&sspn=0.019147,0.036221&geocode=FaLMFQMd1vTL_w%3BFVwtEwMdQbjU_yktF_K1FelxSDGafqhOrRHnUQ&oq=NP26+3YL&mra=ls&t=m&z=11

then leave the services at 4.45pm along this route (finish point for reference only, do not book this hotel yet)

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=NP26+3YL&daddr=BS34+7BR&hl=en&ll=51.538221,-2.723923&spn=0.30665,0.579529&sll=51.642737,-3.12149&sspn=0.305945,0.579529&geocode=FVwtEwMdQbjU_yktF_K1FelxSDGafqhOrRHnUQ%3BFQf3EQMd1bjY_ykb2ZuWv5FxSDE0-SH1Wns0YA&mra=ls&t=m&z=11

and arrive at hotel for 5.30pm.

Drinks in the bar at 7pm and from there it will all get a bit hazy.

It would be great to have you with us, but I understand the distance is huge. Somebody could arrange a similar drive through Scotland if that makes things simpler, and donate the costs of getting down to Wales to the charity fund.

This is about remembering Colin and also helping his chosen charity so even if people take just 10 minutes out of their day to sit in their Supra and think of Colin and how life can be short and then donate to Macmillan then his memory will be maintained as each time you sit in your Supra from then on you will remember him.

As I say, if you can make it down to Wales and Bristol that would be good, but I think everybody would understand if some chose to do a Scotland memorial and donate more to charity.
