hogmaw
The Supra was pulling hard to the left today and when I stopped the front left tyre looked quite flat, I went to the garage and it was only 10psi. Will this have damaged the tyre so much that I will need a new one? I'm a bit wary of going to a garage to ask because they bound to say I do even if I don't just so they can have my £300 for a new one; a lot of money of course, which I'd rather keep in my wallet. Dnk
It wont have done the sidewalls any good, how far did you drive on it at 10 psi ?
hogmaw
Probably about 10-15 miles, I can see some wear on the sides where it must have made contact with the road
safcdixon
This happened to me last year, the tyre developed a big bulge pleb on the inside wall of the tyre and was vibrating, have a good check of the tyre wall daily, you may have gotten lucky
L18msy
You might not see much damage from the outside, might be better taking tyre off rim and checking inside. Usually if it is damaged you will see lots of black rubbery 'dust' rolling about inside. What size of tyres you got?
pbryant_knight
Happened to me a few month ago with my Nissan. Went to revolution and they took the tyre off. With driving it so low there was a load of rubber on the inside of the tyre. They said I need a new one but I haven't replaced it yet. Dnk
Probably about 10-15 miles, I can see some wear on the sides where it must have made contact with the road Thats quite a distance on a very low pressure so i'd guess it must have deformed the sidewalls quite a lot and the lips of the rim tend to cut into them. Get the tyre popped off so you can have a look inside. I think i'd play safe tbh and get a new one

Dnk
I guess its the gamble you either take or not, it could very well be fine or it could fail big time

-Welsh-Stealth-
If tyre wall is run on& it's scrubbed out the inside wall. As above can cause lumps/bumps/egg shapes& even blow outs. General give away(looking from the outside) is a smooth line usually in the middle of the wall. Assuming you keep away from kerbs
