Dash lights won't turn on

Recommended Posts

Tried a few things here. No voltage at dimmer switch.

Checking through circuit diagrams at the moment, going to log what happens so it's somewhere for me to log what pins are doing what.

I found a broken wire on the back of the dash, this was the intercepted wire for the speed converter, wired it up nothing changed.

Headlights work, signals work, just the backing LED's have no power and radio doesn't dim when light is switched on either, not sure how radio changes I would assume voltage drop but not sure?

Anyway, plug voltages WITH lights on (off was no change)

????????????

Im going to manually put 12v into the light circuit tomorrow and see if I have any luck with that, upg gave me some advice on which wires to test so gonna try that. Racking my brains!

Which fuse are you refering to mate? I've checked the fuses on the drivers footwell and under the hood with no luck. The dash itself works and functions with brake lights and indicators working, headlights work just the dash lights that won't trigger.

Maybe have to run them off the sidelights maybe I've fluffed a wire by tugging it around, apparently I've been called a bit brutal with my dash de-assembly.
