Ian C Posted August 10, 2005 Share Posted August 10, 2005 Let me see if I've got this right: There are three bad valve conditions: Valve float Where the spring can't return the valve to a closed position fast enough before the cam starts opening it again Valve bounce The valve shuts but the spring rebounds, thus allowing the valve to bounce off the valve seat back open again Valve somethingelse The valve is accelerated so hard by the cam that it overpowers the spring and leaves the cam behind, thus opening far further than it really should Fill in blanks and correct please -Ian Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
